Spring break is right around the corner. Students are getting ready to head out out of town, or in our case with us being located in Maui, heading into town.

One thing on student’s minds while preparing for their trip…getting a base tan. Before deciding to get a base tan in the hopes of avoiding a sunburn while on spring break, please take a moment to remember these following tips:

  • It is best to avoid prolonged sun exposure during the peak hours of 10 am to 4 pm.
  • Use organic sunscreen.
  • Re-apply sunscreen every two hours.

Below are answers to common questions I receive from those receiving a spray tan for the first time.

How do I prepare?

Shower, shave and exfoliate your skin. Avoid using lotions, gels, deodorants, oils, perfumes and other skin products before your visit.

What should I wear?

Women can go bare or nude, & men can tan with briefs (mandatory).

How long will the tan last?

It’s difficult to say exactly how long because it varies from person to person and activity to activity. The better you care for your tan by following my after care instructions, the longer the tan will last.
